Welcome to the Southwest Hills church web page! We're glad you dropped by for a visit. Southwest Hills is a church which: •  teaches the Bible •  builds mature disciples •  specializes in family ministry •  emphasizes world missions   •  organizes around small groups   •  believes in lay ministry   •  reaches out to lost people Because we are medium size (about 500 people on Sunday mornings), we are large enough to offer a variety of ministries that build disciples and impact the world. But we are small enough that almost all visitors are greeted warmly, people are known by name, hurting people are helped, missing people are missed, and everyone is prayed for individually at least twice a month by our leadership. Although we hope you find our web site informative, our church is unique; and the only way to get to know us is to worship with us any Sunday at 9:00 or 10:45AM. We hope to see you this week!

"What Is True Freedom?" Galatians 5:13-15. Because of our disposition to sin, our desires are more often sinful, deceptive, and harmful; and if we follow those desires, we become slaves. Therefore, true freedom is not doing anything we want to do but following the new desires put into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. These desires are consistent with the moral law, the law of love.
