Missions

SWHBC has a Missions board called MAT (Missions Action Team) they currently meet on the first Monday evening of each month.

MAT mission statement:
The Missions Action Team exists to bring glory to God locally and around the world by making disciples of Jesus Christ.

And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.

15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

Missions at SWHBC is an international outreach program with the intent of facilitating varied mission outreaches while maintaining sensitivity to God's leading for both individuals and whole teams. We have currently selected five major mission fields as our primary focus: Honduras, Mexico, Japan, SE Asia, and Romania. Each area was selected because God has given us valuable partnerships on location and strong commitments within our own church. This maximizes our opportunity to participate in varied ministries while drawing on the vast treasure of gifts and skills God has developed among us. We also encourage involvement in other areas as God calls individuals at SWHBC to step out in faith. We are looking forward to raising up and sending out individuals who will consider extended internships of six months to a year or even full-time service.
