Homegroups
Our small group ministry exists to strengthen believers and help them mature to fullness in Christ. This small group ministry will be a key channel for families and individuals to participate in meaningful, in-depth Bible study, to build strong friendships, and to help participants develop an effective prayer life.
1. Why is it important to be in a home groups?
We believe in the value of both the large-group experience and the small-group experience, but for different reasons.
The large-group experience is important because: -It helps us get a common vision and biblical understanding as a church, which fosters unity. -It gives us an opportunity to learn the scriptures from highly trained and gifted teachers who model for us how to interpret the Bible. -It gives us an opportunity to focus on worshiping God with a diverse group of people.
The small-group experience is important because: -It provides a much deeper level of fellowship and interaction, usually with people a lot like ourselves. -It gives us an opportunity to pray for each other and minister to each other. -It gives us an opportunity to ask questions and interact over the Bible and to pursue certain topical studies.
2. Which home groups are available?
Home groups meet at various times throughout the week, and many are open for you to join. They study a variety of biblical topics, and each one is unique.
The Family
This is the primary "small group" we desire to support by offering training, accountability and care to husbands, wives, children and singles.
The purpose of these groups is to develop mature believers who love God and one-another, and who seek to serve others in our church and community. These groups will be "little churches" or "flocks" where the group leader will serve as the shepherd to his group. Each group will remain small in size (6 to 20) to foster intimacy, accountability, and deep interaction with group participants and God.
We will offer classes on special topics to enable people to learn how to study the Bible, learn how the Bible is relevant to our world and lives, and help each person gain a deeper personal faith in God and His Word.
