Children's
The Children's Ministries at Southwest Hills are dedicated to building four key fundamentals into children's lives: 1) understanding the Bible, 2) memorizing scripture, 3) serving others, and 4) helping others believe in Jesus. While our different programs may bring a different emphasis on these four keys, all our children's leaders have a real heart for seeing the next generation raised up to have a positive impact for the Kingdom. Cor Deo Christian Academy
Cor Deo Christian Academy is a hybrid, combining Christian school and home-school. Students attend classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they study at home. This gives the parents much more input and involvement in their children’s education. It helps to unite the family and preserves family values. The result is that parents and godly teachers partner together to help students develop wisdom, knowledge, character, and godliness. The teachers provide a level of accountability, consistency, and expertise that is missing in many home-schools. The parents provide a level of individual tutoring, love and understanding of the students that is missing in normal classroom education. Read more...

Counseling
We believe the Bible is sufficient to meet all our needs for living a life that is pleasing to Him. In 2 Peter 1:3 we read, "His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness." Through the leadership of Pastor Kerry Francetich, we offer Bible-based counseling. Many in our church family have been trained to use the scriptures to help those struggling with various issues to learn to have victory and to live a life that is pleasing to God. Whether for a one-time session to get a biblical perspective on an issue, or for a more sustained period of learning to overcome a particular problem or pattern, individuals or teams are available through this ministry to help. Contact Pastor Kerry and he will direct you to getting the help we can offer.

Home Builders
This group tends to be couples married less than ten years. We meet during the second service (10:45AM) on Sunday mornings to study God's Word and to fellowship. We also have regular activities designed to build friendships and support one another.

Homeschool
Over 60 of our families are involved in homeschooling; therefore, we have a very strong ministry in this area. The major aspect of this ministry is a co-op which organizes field trips, seasonal parties, presentation nights, and graduation ceremonies. The co-op also offers a wide variety of classes for pre-school through high school (e.g., math, science, music, P.E., English, language, history, enrichment). Please visit www.swhcoop.com for more information about this ministry.

Missions
Missions at SWHBC is an international outreach program with the intent of facilitating varied mission outreaches while maintaining sensitivity to God's leading for both individuals and whole teams. We have currently selected four major mission fields as our primary focus: Honduras, Mexico, Japan, and Romania. Each area was selected because God has given us valuable partnerships on location and strong commitments within our own church. This maximizes our opportunity to participate in varied ministries while drawing on the vast treasure of gifts and skills God has developed among us. We also encourage involvement in other areas as God calls individuals at SWHBC to step out in faith. We are looking forward to raising up and sending out individuals who will consider extended internships of six months to a year or even full-time service.

Prayer
Our goal is to become a church where God is central and prayer is an integral part of all we do. Although we have a long way to go, over the years prayer has become more and more of a focus because God is central to our very existence, and we are absolutely dependent on Him. Read more...

Small Groups
Our small group ministry exists to strengthen believers and help them mature to fullness in Christ. This small group ministry is a key channel for families and individuals to participate in meaningful, in-depth Bible study, to build strong friendships, and to help participants develop an effective prayer life. Worship
It is our desire to worship God in spirit and truth, for "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24) Our Sunday morning worship music includes both hymns and contemporary songs. Worship services contain sharing times, testimonies, prayer, the study of God's Word and its application to our lives. Worship teams consist of youth and adults who desire to use their musical talents for the Lord. We also use our worship teams as a training ground for future leaders. Special worship events are held throughout the year with the goal of drawing us closer to God and to each other ("...speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs..." Ephesians 5:19).

Young Adult
Our young adult ministry seeks to encourage single men and women who are 18-28. Meeting time is Sunday evening at 6:00PM. Please see the website calendar or email the ministry leader at the address in the left column of this web page for events, meeting times, and more information.

Youth
The focus of our youth ministry is to change lives for Jesus Christ. For the non-believers, we seek to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that they may have eternal life. For believers, we desire to help them grow in prayer, faithfulness to God's Word, leadership, fellowship and worship. Our leadership is made up of parents and youth working together. We meet every Monday night for "Innermission," a youth led and oriented evening of Bible teaching, worship, games and small group interaction. We offer Sunday morning classes, monthly social events, outreach activities and opportunities for service.
