Becky is the Office Manager for the church. She comes to us with a background in human
resource management and medical/legal administration. She is currently the director of
our AWANA Sparks club, and has been involved in AWANA for over 20 years. Becky has a
love for children and enjoys being involved in all aspects of children's ministry.
Becky was born in Kirkland, Washington and has one brother who is 4½ years older. She
moved to Oregon at the age of 6 and has lived in Washinton County since then. Growing
up on a horse ranch provided a perfect atmosphere for her love of animals. Her mom was
asked to direct the choir at Scholls Community Church in 1961, where she met the Loughridge
family. In 1968, she and Jack began dating and were married in 1973. Jack, the former
pastor of Scholls Community Church, is now managing the family filbert farm and working
full-time for FlightCraft International as a pilot. They live in the same home they
purchased in 1973, nestled in the center of the Scholls community. The Loughridge family
has attended SWHBC since August of 2002. They have four children; Karissa (1982), Kimberly
(1984), Tiffany (1987) and Jason (1990).
Having completed a two-year course at Western Baptist Seminary, Becky worked outside the
home as an insurance agent and assistant hospital administrator until 1982 when their first
child was born. She became a stay-at-home mom, doing various home-businesses until their
youngest child was eight. At that point she worked part-time until 2000 when she joined
a nurse case management firm in Tigard. When that business moved to Seattle, she became the
Human Resource Manager for a medical/legal firm in Portland until August of 2004. In
February of 2005, Becky joined the staff of Southwest Hills.
Becky enjoys camping, sports, horses, cooking, sewing, music and scrapbooking. Their most
recent addition to the family is Pandy, a 4-lb Yorkiepoo.
"I became a Christian when I was a young child. God has been a very real presence in my
life and has sustained me through many very difficult times. Having a strong faith in Christ
and trusting His sovereignty, I believe He will continue His work in me until I am complete
and can be presented perfect in Christ (Col 1:28)."
"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
